Team of the day

TEAM OF THE DAY is a NEW Feature for the BLOG.


Each Matchday, The BEST players will be selected for the TEAM OF THE DAY (TOTD).

TOTD CRITERIA

To be considered for TOTD, each player will be judged on:

1.  MATCH RATING  (Highest rated player) 
2.  MOM (Man of the Match used if players' have same Match Rating)
3.  GOALS SCORED (most goals scored)
4. ASSISTS (most assists)

Payers that get rated 10, have best chance to get in the TOTD, However, if a player scored 4 or 5 goals and got rated 8, he would get in before a rated 9 or 10 due to his overall contribution to the match.

GOALKEEPERS' CRITERIA

MATCH RATING
MOM
Goalkeepers' are judged on their Match Rating, if same, MOM gets in the team
(If still same, 'keeper with clean sheet/ least goals against, gets in)

DEFENDERS' CRITERIA

Defenders are judged by Match Rating/MOM, if same , TOTD CRITERIA (3 &4) is used to decide.

DEADLOCK

If players are exactly the same, ie say we have 2 defenders and they are both rated 9 (ie no mom, no goals, no assists)
We take the positions of each team and opponents before match started, say player 1 team were 2nd bottom and they got clean sheet to team 2nd top and player 2 team were top and got clean sheet against bottom club, It is then decided that player 1 got best clean sheet. (or least goals if none got clean sheet)
if still same, we use HOME OR AWAY, Still level, we look at the team who haven't had player  in TOTD, finally, last decision is - lower league team gets in.
